Joel and Kelley’s Wedding

Kelley worked at CompUSA with me where we became good friends and started dating.  Our friend, Wyatt, started making short films/sketches based on working in retail.  I had the amazing idea of proposing to her while filming an episode - it would be like working back at CompUSA together.  I let Wyatt know that I wanted to propose to her in one of his videos, and he made a script and got together a great cast.

My character in the actual short has a crush on Kelley and asks her for a date in the final scene - which is where I would switch it up and actually propose.  I was so nervous throughout the shoot.  The only thing going to through my mind was what I was going to say her.  We had to shoot one scene quite a few times because I kept messing up my lines and delivery.  We finally got to the final scene and told everyone we going to shoot this one a bit different then we had rehearsed before with different camera angles…  Everything seemed to happen very quickly and I forgot what I was going to say.  I went to plan B and walked up to her and pulled the ole’ “My shoelace is untied” bit and totally suprised her:

The video is no longer up  It’s a long story about the original video we shot there and it had to be taken down, this was colateral…  It should be back up someday.
